Two Great Events in August
On August 2nd CHSCA will host the Company of Fools at Longleaf Park. They will preform Romeo and Juliette. Orleans Brewing Company will be on hand in a licenced area.
The twelfth annual Chapel Hill South Summer Sizzler will be held on August 16th at Blue Willow Park. The usual events, live music, beer garden, kids activities, kids movie at dusk
2018 Annual General Meeting - April 30th
The Chapel Hill South Community Association Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday April 30th.
The meeting will be held at Chapel Hill Retirement Residence on Pagé Road and will start at 7pm.
You don't have to join the Board to take part in this informational meeting. We will be discussing the various project that are on-going in the community related to traffic, safety and recreation. Staff from our City Councillor's office will be on hand to report on the status of programs in the ward and specifically Chapel Hill South. If you have questions, this is your opportunity to have them answered.
Plans for the 2018 Summer Sizzler will also be discussed.
Further agenda items will be posted before the meeting.

Perhaps some good news for Rogers cellular customers wanting better reception...
A new Roger's Tower has been proposed to be built near the new roundabout at Brian Coburn and Navan Roads (2920 Navan Road). It will be located in the hydro corridor approximately 84 metres south of Navan Road (map in the report). Rogers will hold a public consultation meeting, date TBD.

The 10th Annual Summer Sizzler "The Canadiana Edition" is THIS FRIDAY at Blue Willow Park! You will want to be early as events start at 5pm. Some of the highlights....
-Vintage Stock Theatre with perform a salute to Ottawa mayors
-Bouncy castle, tippy ladder game, velcro wall for the kids
-Zorb balls
-FREE hamburgers and hot dogs (we bought lots this year)
-snow cones, cotton candy
-Canada 150 cake
-Beer tent with live bands until midnight
-Orleans Brewing Company is our beer supplier this year
-Wine from Domaine Perrault and Vignoble Clos du Vully
-Outdoor movie
